Arkansas, here I come!!!

I'm so excited. I didn't think I would miss Arkansas as much as I do. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Pittsburgh. I miss where I used to live!!!!! I have a lot of things to do when I'm there. It'll be fun. I also can't wait to meet Kalleigh, my favorite niece.
Good day so far, just kinda chilling around the house before I go to work. Bryan and I have the same schedule today, which is nice. Gives me a bit more time with him during the day. He's the best husband I could ever imagine! Know how sometimes you imagine what something will be like and then you get it, and it's a million trillion times better than you thought it would be? That's always nice. Better than the alternative.
Short blog, just felt like posting something.
Oh, October 3rd, my favorite Disney movie in the world comes out on DVD.
THE LITTLE MERMAID!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Silver Day!!!!

Okay, so it's not an actual holiday, but I feel like it should be as far as I'm concerned. Today is the day of the 25th pound GONE!!!!! Whee-hoo!!! What's sweeter about it is that I allowed myself 2 cookies yesterday--not on treat day *gasp! I was sure I'd gone up, not down.
In the process of re-studying my italian. Ha studiato ieri--I studied yesterday. I got the book "Italian for Dummies". ^_^ Dummies got me through the GRE, too. I figure Dummies will train me well enough to bargain with the market vendors for the perfect leather jacket. It'll be cold up there and I'll need to be warm in style. Well, whatever. ^_^
The dogs are play fighting. It used to scare me, but they are really the best of friends. That's a good thing since Bryan and I won't be here for 3 months to help take care of them. Bryan's mom is very kind to let us leave Stryker here. I wonder how Stryker would do in Italy, trying his best to get out so he can run through the Alps. He's so ambitious he would try it. I suppose it's best to keep him here, but Bryan and I will miss our Boxer baby. :(
Okay, that's all. Have a good day, everybody!!!

Bryan's happy about his day off, too...^_^

Day off with Bryan!!!!!

We are so excited. We're going to the zoo. I always love going to the zoo with Bryan because he knows so many animals that he usually knows what's on the card before he reads about the animal. He loves the different species, details, etc. I just look at the cages and go, "Wow!" Next. ^_^
by the way, this is me in my size 8 jeans. I'm not squeezing into them. I'm fitting into them!!!! Whee-hoo! So nice to finally be doing something right. I've tried so many crash diets that I should write a book entitled "Diets that will make you kill yourself if you try."
All right, so all I can say is I wish this happiness on everybody else today. Go, have fun, look at animals. ^_^
Love and miss, K ^_^ Posted by Picasa

Real Dreams

Do you ever have those dreams that feel incredibly real? The dream feels so real that you wake up believing that the events actually happened? I remember once I dreamed that I was in labor, and I woke up sweating and out of breath, and I was like, "Where's my baby??!" and then I remembered that I wasn't pregnant. Well, last night, I dreamed that I had a 2nd review at work. My first review, by the way, went very well. I got above averages and excellents! ^_^ Anyway, in my dream, one of the laundry ladies pulled me aside and told me that she noticed that I'd done nothing but stand around lately, and that I was no longer needed with the company. I woke up wondering where I was going to find another job because people who fired me certainly wouldn't give me good references. After I thought about it for a while this morning, I happily remembered that my bosses at work are happy with my performance. Yeah!!!
By the way, I have a place in Vicenza! I'm doing mission work at the church while I'm there! You were right, Deborah, God found a way for this to work so I could do something meaningful. I have a feeling that God has a plan for me while I'm there. ^_^
Love to all! K

Finally, answers!!!!

Bryan is going to do his internship at Trattoria all 'Angelo, which is in Vicenza, a region of Venice!!! It'll be so cool! The website, for all those who want to see, is www.trattoria-allangelo.it/en/who-we-are/index.html. It looks nice, doesn't it? Anyway, so I'm also actively searching for answers as to what I will do. Yes, I love Italy, and I can entertain myself in Venice, Florence, Cinque Terre, etc, but I need to do something valuable to my and other's lives. therefore, I contacted Howard Bybee today--head of Avanti Italia--and he told me he might be able to find some mission work I can do while in Venice! How cool would that be?? Anyway, I hope that works out. He says he started the church in Vicenza in '59. Whee-hoo! God is good at making plans work out. Now, just to let ya know, Bryan's plan is official. I'm still working on things, but I know something will work out.
Yea!
Anyway, I must get some sleep b/c I'm waking up in 8 hours so I can go to Bodyjam, the most fun-ever dance class!!! I'm having so much fun, and it burns so many calories.
Later! ^_^

Stryker's blog

Hi! I'm Stryker, Kristi and Bryan's dog! Kristi always looks like she's having fun when she does her entries, so I thought I'd put one.
Today was spent exploring, napping, eating, and pooping. Most days are, with a nice walk thrown in. I enjoyed my walk with Kristi yesterday. So many interesting dogs around the neighborhood! I'm enjoying bachelorhood right now, but when the right one comes along, preferably another boxer, I'll be ready.
I'm having fun with my cousin Willis, who's a beagle mix that also lives here. I don't get along with my other cousin too well. His name is Axl, and he's a golden retriever-pit bull mix. He thinks that he's top dog, but we all know that I am.
Okay, well, thanks for listening! Hope I get to see you sometime so I can get a good belly rub! Woof! Posted by Picasa

See! Bryan's happy and healthy!!

Realized I had not posted pics of Bryan in all this time. He's feeling good, and--you'll like this, Aunt Donna--he's eating tons of potatoes, tomatoes, and bananas. ^_^
Yeah!!! Posted by Picasa

Hello!
This is a new way I'm trying to post a picture. I don't know what will happen when I try to post this. I'm hoping that my picture website will be highlighted so all you will have to do to see this picture is click on the website. If it continues to not work for me, I'll have to move to myspace or find something else that will work. OH, well.
Things are going well for me. Bryan and I are mostly working the same shift. It's nice. I worked hard the other day and walked out of the restaurant with $20. It's good. I can use the money, that's for sure.
Labor Day sales were nice, weren't they? I found a lot of fun clothes for me and Bryan. Yeah! Clothes are good.
Oh, and I looked at pics from the farm today. I miss you, family!!!!! I can't wait to see some of you in October. My friends who look at this website, I can't wait to see you as well!!!!
Okay, that's enough for now. This is kind of a test run, anyway.
Love to all!!! K ^_^

Selfishness at work

Okay. All of you with kids have undoubtedly heard this word, "MINE." At the Radisson tonight, all of the banquet servers used this word from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM. We had everything counted out from napkins, to plates, to silverware, and everybody was jealous with their equipment. No sharing b/c everybody needed their stuff for their party. Somebody tried to take my cart, my bucket, and my silverware, and I said, "MINE!" the almost-offender asked what I needed it for and I said, "MINE. You are not taking this. it's MINE!" it's okay, though. Being selfish is a good thing when your first priority is making sure that your customers are taken care of. Anyway, work went very well. we served 1000 customers today!!!! we had umpteen parties today. we all prepared ourselves for this, though. All week, we said the same thing, "You ready for Saturday? It's going to be cra-a-a-a-azy!!!!" We psyched ourselves up for it, and it went WELL!!!!! I'm so happy. Plus, I even got a compliment from the general manager to the other banquet captains!!!! "Kristi did well. She really did." YEAH!!!!!
Anyway, hope you enjoyed reading my little anecdote!
Love and miss, K ^_^
